Cupaniopsis fleckeri S.T.Reynolds

Usually grows into a small or medium-sized tree.

Leaf bearing twigs longitudinally grooved or striated. Leaflet about 8-10 in each compound leaf, each leaflet blade about 5-10 x 2-3.5 cm, leaflet stalks 0.1-0.8 cm long. Lateral veins about 7-9, forming loops inside the blade margin. Domatia are foveoles with a broad or narrow orifice with a few hairs around the orifice.

Calyx lobes about 5 x 4 mm. Petals ovate, about 3 mm long. Style short, about 1.5-2 mm long.

Fruit about 15 mm diam. before dehiscence. Outer surface glabrous, inner surface densely clothed in woolly hairs. Seeds two or three per fruit, each seed about 8-9 x 6-7 mm. Testa black, aril yellow. Cotyledons larger than the radicle which is about 1.5 mm long.

Endemic to Qld (?), occurs in CYP and NEQ. Altitudinal range from near sea level to 400 m. Grows in monsoon forest and the drier types of rain forest.
