Vine stem diameters to 3 cm recorded. Bark somewhat papery, rolled to form vertical cylinders.
Compound leaves consist of 5-7 leaflets. Leaflet blades about 15-50 x 8-30 mm, leaflet stalks about 2-3 mm long. Stipules caducous, about 1 mm long. Tendrils are modified lateral branches.
Flower stalks about 1.5-2 mm long, but the flowers are technically sessile with two comparatively large bracts at the base of the calyx tube. Bracts concave on the adaxial surface, +/- orbicular, about 1.5 mm diam. Calyx tube about 2 mm long, lobes about 0.7 mm long. Petals about 6-10 mm long. Stamens 10, all filaments united to form a sheath around the ovary, but open along one side. Filaments free from one another near the apex. Anthers opening by means of divaricate slits. Ovary about 2-2.5 mm long, ovary stalk about 2 mm long. Style about 1.5 mm long. Ovules two.
