A slender vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm.

Leaf blades about 4-5.5 x 2.5-3.8 cm, petioles about 2-4.5 cm long. Upper and lower leaf blade surfaces clothed in fine hairs.

Inflorescence up to 13 cm long. Flowers about 15 mm diam. at anthesis. Calyx tube (hypanthium) about 3 mm long, calyx lobes quite narrow, about 4 mm long. Corolla with 3 larger lobes and 2 smaller lobes. Larger lobes about 14-15 mm long, smaller lobes about 8 mm long. Anthers about 2 mm long, staminal filaments about 5 mm long. Anthers fused to one another forming a cup around the style head. Style + stigma about 7 mm long. Stigmas 2 or stigma 1 with 2 lobes.

Capsules small, 2-valved, about 6 x 6 mm. Seeds ovoid, about 0.8 x 0.6 mm. Testa surface textured. Endosperm oily. Embryo very small, +/- bullet-shaped, about 0.1-0.2 mm long.

Occurs in NEQ and south eastern Queensland and southwards as far as central coastal New South Wales. Altitudinal range in NEQ not known, but collections indicate that it can ascend to 350 m. usually grows in wet sclerophyll forest, occasionally found in upland rain forest.
