A slender vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm.

Twigs and petioles produce a milky exudate. Leaf blades about 2.5-5 x 1-2 cm, petioles about 0.4-0.9 cm long. Small glands resembling tiny stipules visible on the twigs between the petiole bases. Leaf blade underside clothed in erect pale hairs.

Flowers about 3 mm diam. Sepals about 1 mm long. Corolla tube about 1.6 mm long, glabrous on both surfaces. Corolla lobes about 1 mm long, glabrous. Anthers about 0.6 mm long. Pollen aggregated in pollinia. Staminal corona not very conspicuous. Carpels about 0.9 mm long.

Follicles fusiform, about 4-5 cm long. Fide Forster (1996).

Endemic to Queensland, occurs in NEQ, CEQ and southwards to south-eastern Queensland. Altitudinal range in NEQ from 800-900 m. In NEQ grows in the drier types of rain forest associated with Agathis robusta (Kauri Pine).
