Usually flowers and fruits as a herb, but occasionally grows into a shrub about 1 m tall.

Leaf blades 3-5-lobed. Leaf blade clothed in stellate hairs on both the upper and lower surfaces; petioles, twigs and stipules similarly clothed. Stipules filiform, about 3 mm long.

Epicalyx 5-lobed. Calyx about 10-11 mm long, clothed in stellate hairs, lobes about 4.5-7 mm long. Petals about 20 mm long. Ovules 1 per carpel. Fide Wheeler (1992) Flora of the Kimberley Region.

Fruit globose, separating into indehiscent mericarps. Mericarps 5 per fruit. Each mericarp about 4-5 mm diam. prominently keeled and reticulately ribbed, glabrous or sparsely stellate hairy. Seeds one per mericarp, reniform in outline.

Occurs in WA. Altitudinal range not known but collected close to sea level. Grows in coastal vine thickets. Also occurs in Africa, Asia and Malesia.
