Usually flowers and fruits as a shrub about 1 m tall but also flowers when smaller.
Flowers about 5 mm diam. Perianth tube (hypanthium) about 5-6 mm long, lobes about 1-2 mm long. Stamens inserted in the throat of the perianth tube (hypanthium). Anthers +/- sessile, about 1.4 x 0.5 mm. Pollen orange. Apex of the ovary clothed in white hairs. Style about 2.5-4 mm long, attached to the side of the ovary. Stigma papillose.
Fruits pyriform, about 4 x 2 mm, clothed in prostrate silky hairs. Seed almost as large as the fruit, testa tuberculate. Cotyledons flat, about as long as but much wider than the radicle.

Endemic to Queensland, occurs in NEQ and CEQ. Altitudinal range in CYP and NEQ from near sea level to 1000 m. Usually grows in open forest but sometimes found in vine thickets and monsoon forest.
