Stem

A small tree seldom exceeding 30 cm dbh.

Leaves

Leaf blades about 10.5-16 x 4.5-7.5 cm, petioles 0.2-0.6 cm long. Domatia are small pits but are not present on all leaves. Stipules about 4-7 mm long.

Flowers

Calyx lobes less than 0.5 mm long. Calyx tube (hypanthium) about 1.5 x 1.2 mm.

Fruit

Surface of the testa rugose.

Seedlings

Features not available.

Distribution and Ecology

Occurs in NEQ. Altitudinal range from near sea level to 680 m. Grows in well developed lowland and upland rain forest.
