Flowers

Inflorescence not exceeding the leaves, but usually longer than the petioles. Calyx lobes about 1.5-2 mm long, sericeous on the outer surface, glabrous or sparsely sericeous on the inner surface. Petals +/- obovoid, about 5 mm long, sericeous on the outer surface, glabrous on the inner. Ovary apex pubescent.

Fruit

Infructescence not exceeding the leaves, but usually longer than the petioles. Calyx lobes persisting at the apex of the fruits. Fruits globular or depressed globular, about 7-8 x 8-9 mm. Seeds variable in shape, about 4 x 3 mm.

Seedlings

Cotyledons lanceolate, about 10-11 x 4-5 mm, apex mucronate or acute with a short mucro, base cuneate, triplinerved with the lateral veins forming an intramarginal vein. Oil dots numerous, visible with a lens. At the tenth leaf stage: leaf blade ovate, triplinerved, hairy on the upper and lower surfaces and somewhat glaucous on the lower surface. Seed germination time 28 days.
