A slender vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm.
Twigs and petioles produce a milky exudate. Leaf blades about 5.5-7.5 x 2.5-4 cm, petioles about 0.6-1.5 cm long. About 4-10 colleters (small finger-like glands) present on the upper surface of the midrib near its junction with the petiole. Lateral veins form a definite series of loops inside the blade margin. Reticulate veins appear to 'flow' outwards towards the leaf blade margin.
Inflorescence axillary, umbelliform. Flowers about 2-3 mm diam. Sepals about 1-1.5 x 1 mm. Corolla tube about 1 mm long, lobes about 1 mm long. Corolline corona about 1 mm high, consisting of 5 rounded bulges. Staminal corona absent. Pollen aggregated in +/- erect pollinia. Carpels about 0.5 mm high, ovules numerous in each carpel. Style head (stigma) not smooth, +/- papillose.

Occurs in CYP. Altitudinal range very small as it occurs on the edge of the mangroves just above the high tide level. Grows on vegetation in the ecotone between mangroves and dry land vegetation, viz. vine thicket or monsoon forest. Also occurs in New Guinea.
