Stem

A slender vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm.

Leaves

Leaf blades about 7-10.5 x 2.5-4.5 cm, petioles somewhat twisted, about 0.7-1 cm long. Leaf blade 3-5 veined. 'Stipules' attached to the petioles and the stipules form tendrils.

Flowers

Male flowers: Flowers borne in umbels. Pedicels about 6-10 mm long. Anthers about 1 mm long. Fide Conran & Clifford (1986). Female flowers: No features available.

Fruit

Fruits globular, about 8 mm diam. on a slender pedicel about 14-15 mm long. Seeds +/- tick-shaped, about 5 x 4 mm. Embryo about 1 x 0.4 mm, located at the blunt end of the seed just inside the seed coat.

Seedlings

Features not available.

Distribution and Ecology

Occurs in CYP and NEQ. Altitudinal range from near sea level to 850 m. Grows in lowland and upland rain forest. Also occurs in New Guinea.
