Stipules 4-10 mm, glabrous, acute to acuminate. Petiole 1-3 cm long, glabrous; leaf blade drying leathery and often paler below, elliptic-oblong, oblanceolate-oblong, or elliptic-lanceolate, 7-30 cm long, 2.9-9 cm wide, above shiny and glabrous, below puberulent to glabrous, secondary veins 5-13 pairs, domatia deeply pitted, ciliate around orifice; base cuneate to acute, margins entire, often thinly revolute, apex obtuse to acuminate with tip often ultimately obtuse.
Inflorescence 4-12 cm long, 8-13 cm wide, densely hairy; bracts lanceolate to spatulate, 1-3 mm, acute to rounded; pedicels 1-5 mm. Calyx with ovary portion obconic, ca. 1 mm, densely hairy; limb 1-2.5 mm long, minutely hairy to glabrescent, lobes linear to narrowly triangular, 0.5-0.7 mm long, acute. Corolla yellow or white, tube 3-4 mm long, ca. 1.5 mm wide; lobes spathulate-oblong, 3-4 mm long, obtuse to rounded. Fruiting pedicels to 10 mm long.
Fruit ovoid to subglobose, 7-18 mm diam., glabrous; seeds ca. 5 mm long.
