Stem

Vine stem diameters to 6 cm recorded.

Leaves

Compound leaves pedate or biternate. Leaflet blades about 5.5-13 x 2.5-6 cm, lateral leaflet stalks about 0.5-2 cm long, terminal leaflet stalks about 3-6.5 cm long. 'Oil dots' numerous, streaky and irregular in shape, visible with a lens.

Flowers

Male flowers: Inflorescence more than 6 cm long. Female flowers: Ovary 2-locular. Ovules 2 per locule.

Fruit

Fruits about 8-9 x 6-7 mm. Seeds about 5-6 x 6-7 mm. Fide Jackes (1989).

Seedlings

Features not available.

Distribution and Ecology

Occurs in CYP. Altitudinal range from near sea level to 100 m. Grows in monsoon forest or the drier more seasonal rain forest. Also occurs in New Guinea and other parts of Malesia.
