Family Description

A family of more than 100 genera and 1500 species frequently in semi-arid environments and saline habitats, cosmopolitan; 28 genera occur naturally in Australia.

Genera

Chenopodium - A cosmopolitan genus of about 70 species; 23 species recorded for Australia with 14 of them endemic.

Einadia - A genus of about 6 species in Australia and New Zealand; four species occur naturally in Australia.
