Stem

A slender vine not exceeding a stem diameter of 2 cm.

Leaves

Twigs, petioles and leaves produce a milky exudate. Leaf blades about 3.5-5.5 x 1.5-3 cm, petioles about 1-1.7 cm long.

Flowers

Flowers about 7 mm diam. Sepals ovate, about 1.3 mm long, small finger-like glands present on the inner surface close to the base. Corolla tube about 1 mm long, lobes about 2.5 mm long. Anthers about 1 mm long, pollen aggregated in pollinia. Stamens fused to form a short tube. Staminal corona about 1 x 1.2 mm. Carpels about 1.8 mm long.

Fruit

Follicles fusiform-ovoid, about 6-9.5 cm long.

Seedlings

Features not available.

Distribution and Ecology

Endemic to Queensland, occurs in NEQ, CEQ and southwards to south-eastern Queensland. Altitudinal range in NEQ from near sea level to 250 m. Grows in vine thicket or open forest.
