A family of ca. 87 genera and 1655 species: worldwide, chiefly in the temperate regions. Nine genera occur naturally in Australia.
Genera
Canscora - A genus of ca. 30 species: tropical and subtropical Africa and Asia; 3 species occur naturally in Australia.
Fagraea - A genus of about 60 species on the Indian Ocean islands, Asia, Malesia, Australia and the Pacific islands; four species occur naturally in Australia. Conn et al. (1996); Leenhouts (1962); Leeuwenberg (1980).
