Family Description

A family of about 77 genera and more than 1300 species, pantropic; three genera occur naturally in Australia.

Genera

Hiptage - A genus of about 20-30 species in Asia, Malesia and the Pacific islands; one species has become naturalised in Australia. Jacobs (1955).

Stigmaphyllon -A genus of 113 species or more species the tropics of the central and southern America, and in Malesia, Australia, western Pacific and New Caledonia; two species occur naturally in Australia. Anderson (2011); Jacobs (1955).

Tristellateia - A genus of more than 20 species in Africa, Madagascar, SE Asia, Malesia and Australia; one species occurs naturally in Australia. Jacobs (1955).
