Stem

Tree 10-28 m tall.

Leaves

Leaflet blades about 6.5-13.5 x 3-5.5 cm. Lateral leaflets, elliptic to obovate, oblique at the base and +/- sessile. Compound leaf petiole flattened on the upper surface particularly towards the apex. Oil dots numerous. Small flat glands sometimes visible on the underside of the leaflet blades near the base.

Flowers

Calyx lobes rounded. Petals about 3-3.5 mm long, glabrous on outer surface, pubescent on inner surface particularly towards the base. Anthers about 1.5-2.3 mm long, staminal filaments about 5 mm long. Disk sparsely pubescent. Ovary glabrous.

Fruit

Fruits about 8-10 mm long, globular, 4-lobed. Surface marked with globular glands. Carpels in dehisced fruit ascending. Seeds about 4.5-5 mm long. Testa hard, longitudinally ribbed, completely enclosed in an aril or sarcotesta.

Distribution and Ecology

Occurs in CYP and in NEQ where it is recorded from the far northern part of Cape Melville. Recorded altitudinal range from 240-320 m, only two collections. Grows in semi-deciduous notophyll vineforest and evergreen notophyll vine forest.
