B37 layered Blazes included in this category should have lines like contour lines on a map. This refers to the blaze in general, not necessarily to the inner or outer blaze
The blaze is the surface of the cut bark. It is divided into an outer and inner layer. The two layers may be distinct, but frequently they are not. Where they are not distinct, the division is made half way through the living bark.
