B33 speckled markedly This applies when small spots are apparent on the general blaze colour. These spots can assume various shapes.  This feature is frequently referred to as a pepper and salt effect.
B34 with longitudinal stripes To be classed as longitudinal stripes, they must be visible from a considerable distance, at least 2 m.

Inner blaze markings

The blaze is the surface of the cut bark. It is divided into an outer and inner layer. The two layers may be distinct, but frequently they are not. Where they are not distinct, the division is made half way through the living bark.
