Aerial stem-parasitic shrub. Epicortical runners present.
Leaf blades thick and leathery, brittle, breaking along a straight line when bent back on themselves. Leaf blades about 4.5-10 x 3-7 cm, petioles about 0.2-0.5 cm long. Leaf blades much paler on the underside.
Flowers produced in axillary clusters of 2-flowered umbels. EAch flower subtended by a bract about 3 x 3 mm. Rays of umbels about 3-4 mm long. Primary peduncle about 1-4 mm long. Calyx about 0.5 mm long, without lobes. Corolla about (above the ovary) 40 mm long. Anthers about 4-5 mm long, staminal filaments about 3-9 mm long. Disk 6-lobed or toothed, lobes bright red. Ovary about 3-4 mm long without any obvious locules or ovules. Style about 20-40 mm long. Stigma globular.
