Small or large tree.
Leaf lamina obovate or oblong-elliptic, (2.5-)4-6(-8) cm long x 1.5-3 cm wide; glands 1 or 2 on each side of midvein on basal half of lamina below; glabrous above and below or with few scattered appressed hairs; midvein depressed above, secondary veins 4-8 pairs; prominent reticulate venation on both surfaces.
Male inflorescence axes 2.5-3.5 mm long, pubescent, with mostly erect pale brown hairs; male flowers not seen. Female flowers not seen.
Fruiting calyx 3 lobed, appressed to base of fruit; fruit globose, ca. 7 mm diameter (immature), appressed pubescent towards style, glabrescent, persistent style ca. 1.2 mm long.

Occurs in CYP, only known from near Lockerbie. Altitudinal range close to see level, known from 50 m. Grows in gallery forest and drier, more seasonal rain forest. Also known from New Guinea.
Poorly known species, additional collections are needed to confirm the status of this species in Australia.
