Tree Ixora
Small tree 2-8 m tall. Seldom exceeding 30 cm dbh. Blaze odour sometimes obnoxious.
Stipules tapering to a point at the apex. Leaf blades about (10-) 15-22 (-24) x (3-) 6-9.5 (-13) cm, dries greenish or pale brown; upper surface glabrous or subglabrous, lower covered with soft hairs, or occasionally only the main nerves hairy. Petiole grooved on the upper surface. Young branchlets and young leaves densely hairy with fine soft hairs (usually velvety).
Inflorescence shorter than the leaves. Pedicels (2-) 4-9 mm long. Calyx lobes about 0.5 mm long, outside glabrous, inside villous. Corolla tube about 14-22 mm long, lobes about 3-4 mm long, glabrous throughout. Anthers about 2.5-3 mm long, attached near the top of the corolla tube, filaments much shorter than the anthers. Style about 8-9 mm long, stigma narrowly clavate, about 4-4.5 mm long.
Features not available but probably very similar to Tarenna dallachiana subsp. dallachiana.
