Bark exudate rapid and copious.

Twigs and petioles produce a milky exudate when broken. Leaf blades about 10-18 x 5-8 cm. Elongated oil dots visible with a lens.

Inflorescences produced on normal leafy twigs, individual flowers sessile. Stigmas filiform.

Fruits about 3 cm diam.

Occurs in NT. Altitudinal range from sea level to 100 m. Grows in gallery forest and rain forest around soaks and springs. Also occurs in Malesia.
