Cotyledons obovate, fleshy. First pair of leaves ovate, about 9-11 cm long. At the tenth leaf stage: leaf blade elliptic or elongate-elliptic, apex acuminate, base cuneate sometimes lobed, toothed along margin from the base to the apex, glabrous, lateral veins forming loops well inside the margin of the leaf blade; stipules minute, visible only with a lens. Seed germination time 18 to 22 days.
