Yellow-wood

Usually grows into a small tree 7 m, but can grow to 20 m.

Leaf blades about 3-6 x 1-2 cm, petioles about 0.5-1.2 cm long, grooved on the upper surface at least towards the base. Lateral veins 4-7 on each side of the midrib.

Inflorescence a spike 20-30 mm long. Perianth tube + lobes about 5 mm long. Lobes about 2 x 1 mm. Stamens ten, filaments glabrous, about 2.5-3.5 mm long. Anthers about 0.9 x 0.5 mm. Disk villous. Style villous, about 4 mm long.

Fruit + wing about 18 x 25 mm. Seeds about 8 x 3 mm. Cotyledons convolute, larger than the radicle.

Features not available.

Endemic to Queensland, occurs in NEQ and CEQ. Altitudinal range in NEQ from 500-600 m. Grows in vine thickets and monsoon forest.
