Description

Rhizome erect. Fronds c. 0.2 mm apart. Stipe with medium to dark red-brown simple eglandular hairs 0.3–1.3 mm long. Lamina (1.8–) 2.8–6.6 (–12.5) cm long, (3–) 4–6 (–7) mm wide, thinly coriaceous to coriaceous; hairs dark red-brown, simple, 0.3–1.7 (–3) mm long, eglandular, on margin and both surfaces of lamina and midvein; veins usually not visible in transmitted light, without hydathodes. Sori rounded to elliptic, (1–) 6–19 (–27) pairs in middle to apical one-fifth to five-sixths of lamina. Sporangia setose; thickened annulus cells 9–12 (–15). Spores (23–) 26–33 (–39) µm diam. 

Distribution

Endemic to NE QLD between Mt Finnegan and Eungella.

Habit and habitat

Epiphytic and lithophytic in mid- to upper-montane rainforest.
